I’m a father, a developer, and the person behind Alto AAC—made with love in Vancouver, BC 🇨🇦.
Why I built Alto AAC
My child had a speech delay. When our family was looking for an AAC app, I paid hundreds of dollars because I wanted to give my son every opportunity to communicate. It was worth every penny, but it also made me realize that many families simply cannot afford that cost.
That is why I built Alto AAC. The app is completely free, with no subscription, advertising, or paywall. I believe every child deserves the chance to express their thoughts, needs, and feelings, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
If Alto AAC helps even one child communicate, every hour spent building it has been worth it.
No child should have to pay for a voice.
